1 hour. 1 conversation. 1 workable action.

If you’ve had enough of that thing that’s confusing, worrying, obstructing or frustrating you, it’s probably time to make a change.

Before confusion, worry, frustration or procrastination grab you again, you might want to book a

You’ll be amazed what you can change in a single hour of no-holds-barred problem solving.

What can you expect from 1 hour with Dan?

During the Walk & Talk: curiosity, openness, objectivity and a compassionate but unapologetic honesty, all blended into a penetrating conversational approach honed by years of facilitating, coaching, mentoring, training and consulting.

By the end of the hour: a sense of anticipation, or maybe even genuine enthusiasm, about taking an action – 1 thing in particular – that ends your indecision or starts dismantling an obstacle that’s been feeling too hard, too scary, or too messy to deal with.

Post-conversation (if you choose it*): a genuine change to your situation, handled competently by you, that sets you toward a genuine sense of satisfaction or fulfilment.

*You’re a grown up. It’s up to you what happens next.

What topics might you talk to Dan about?

Anything that’s on your mind is on the table. (Or, at least, on the beautiful Pukekura trail.)

Dan has supported the professional and personal growth of countless individuals, bringing problem-solving expertise to struggles with career, work and business, relationship dynamics of all types, physical and mental wellbeing, logistics and finances.

A walk and talk with Dan isn’t a coaching or counselling session. What it is: well, that’s up to you. Perhaps you’ll dissect a decision you’re battling with. Or embark on a free-ranging exploration to uncover what’s really thwarting your aspirations and goals. Maybe you’ll dig into whatever it is that’s robbing you of your sense of satisfaction.

Whatever the topic, the purpose of a Walk & Talk is to arrive at 1 thing you can change that will make a difference that’s both meaningful and durable.

New Plymouth is a small place, so of course whatever is spoken of in the park stays in the park.

What should you not expect?

1. Advice. You’ve had enough of that. And probably noticed how it’s never good, and never sticks.

2. Judgment. Tell me you’re not your harshest critic. You don’t need another one.

3. Toxic positivity. Fuck that.

4. Pity. You’re a grown-ass adult, and you’re more competent than you’ll maybe ever realise. You don’t need babying. You need space to figure out, for yourself, how to channel your magic into demolishing everything that stands between you and what it is you desire.

5. Therapy. Because an hour spent figuring out realistic ways to change 1 thing that’s bugging you might just be worth months of talk, introspection and counselling bills.

6. Hand holding, note taking, follow-ups or homework checking. Dan’s not your parent, your teacher or your parole officer. He’ll help you arrive at an actionable next step, but from that point it’s up to you. If you want to debrief, tweak your approach or change another thing, you’re welcome to book another walk and talk.
